Whether you’re evaluating an advisor for the first time or transitioning from another firm, our onboarding process is built to make the experience seamless. We handle the complexity—account setup, asset transfers, portfolio construction, and technology configuration—so you can focus on the decisions that matter.
Once onboarded, your investment accounts, financial plan, and wealth dashboard are all connected and continuously updated. You’ll have a single, integrated view of your entire financial picture—accessible anytime, from any device.
From Discovery to Ongoing Partnership
Every client relationship begins the same way—a conversation. Here’s exactly what happens at each stage, so there are never any surprises.
Discovery Consultation
Before we meet, you’ll complete a brief intake form so we can make the most of our time together. On the call, we’ll walk through your financial goals, current situation, and any questions you have about working with an advisor. We’ll introduce our investment strategies and discuss how they might fit your needs. If you have current statements available, we’ll review those too.
Risk Assessment & Proposal
You’ll complete two risk tolerance questionnaires—a standard assessment through Schwab and our proprietary questionnaire—which together determine your risk profile and map you to one of five allocation tiers across our four proprietary SMA strategies. You’ll also send us your current account statements so we can evaluate your full picture. Once we have everything, we build your custom recommendation and schedule a follow-up call to finalize the plan together.

Paperwork & Account Opening
Once we’ve finalized your plan, two DocuSign packages go out. The first is from Charles Schwab—this opens your accounts (or links existing Schwab accounts) and grants us trading authority. The second is our internal regulatory paperwork, which includes our advisory agreement, fee schedule, ADV disclosure, and privacy policy. Both are completed electronically in minutes.
Funding & Transfer
Assets transfer automatically from your prior custodian as part of the Schwab account opening paperwork. For cash contributions, either we initiate the transfer on your behalf or you can do it yourself—recurring transfers can also be set up during this stage. If you’re rolling over an old 401(k), we’ll walk you through the process and provide step-by-step guidance to coordinate directly with your plan provider.
Investment & Technology Setup
Once your accounts are funded, we invest your capital across the SMA allocation from your plan. Your accounts then sync into your personal wealth dashboard for live performance reporting, and—for clients who elect financial planning—into your interactive financial planning portal. Everything flows together automatically.

Ongoing Management & Review
This isn’t a set-it-and-forget-it relationship. We conduct quarterly or annual reviews—whichever cadence works best for you—where we walk through your wealth dashboard and financial plan together. Between reviews, we’re actively managing: rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, and adjusting for life events. You can reach out to us anytime, and you always have 24/7 access to your online portals.
